Quarter 3

1.) Brave New World Animoto project-

brave new world is a perfect world were happiness comes in a pill, and love is meaningless. people don't choose who they want to be in this society; they just put you in a group and you grow up with that lifestyle.

2.) Ethics in Brave New World- 

In brave new world soma is used for happiness. There would be no more ANXIETY just HAPPINESS with Soma. Soma is like a god to them it SOLVES All their problem, all they have to Do is tAke one. The goverNment even Approves this drugs, and when does the government ever?

also In Brave new world sex is meaningless. people are used to it. sex is a distraction to them, they don't really DESIRE it like they should. relationship in this world is also meaningless. they can not feel emotions or else they would be going against their standers of a perfect hard working SOCIETY.

LASTLY, In a brave new world they don't have freedom, they're split into five castes: Alphas, Betas, Gammas, Deltas, and Epsilons. the alphas are the highest and they have the highest job. betas are the second highest. and then there's the other three. the two highest castes look down at them. they can not say anything because it's the group they were put in, it's unfair. 

3.) Argument timed write 

Essay prompt: Wilde claims that disobedience is a valuable human trait and that it promotes social progress. Write an essay that argues your position on the extent to which Wilde's claims are valid. 

I agree with Oscar Wilde, most things has happen through disobedience. If you feel like something isn't right then go against the law, that's the only way to fix things.

4.) Reflection - 

In quarter 3 I learned about ethics, morals, and civil disobedience. I did earn the grade I deserved. The most meaningful unit we did was the argument essay. I gain the most from the Brave New world question and reading room. I wish we would have skipped the debate. I'm looking forward to the poems we might read. In quarter 4 my learning goal is to learn how to be prepared for the AP exam and try my best to get a good score.
